At the moment, Coneléctricas R.L is making the studies for the construction of the Hydroelectric Project Pocosol, located in Peñas Blancas of San Ramon.
The hydroelectric development with waters of Peñas Blancas' river is tried, in its left margin, for a production of 26,000 kilowatts. They have already acquired the 100% of necessary lands for the project.
The social commitment of Coneléctricas R.L and its associate cooperatives: Coopelesca R.L, Coopesantos R.L, Coopeguanacaste R.L and Coopealfaroruíz R.L, is and will continue being the sincere support the communal development and the environment.
The Hydroelectric Central San Lorenzo has become the ally of its near communities: Bajo Rodriguez, Valle Azul and Los Criques. Coneléctricas R.L has granted more than 23 communal million colons in aids for schools, ways, halls, bridges, Catholic Church, deports and rural electrification, among other social activities.
The bad roads no longer will be a nightmare for farming, milk producers, students and neighbors of Peñas Blancas of San Ramon. With the construction of the Hydroelectric Project Pocosol, Coneléctricas R.L will invest more than 150 million colons in the improvement of routes with more than 15 years of not being repaired.
Also we assumed the commitment with the conservation of the natural resources of our neighboring communities; 142 hectares of primary forest were united to the Biological Reserve Alberto Manuel Brenes, to continue conserving the potable water sources, species of native trees and animals, reason why the University of Costa Rica will administer 7800 hectares of primary forest with economic aid of the Partnership.
